It appears the prosecution got wrapped up in the sensationalism, and didn’t do their due diligence. Or the source reporting didn’t.

As for why they would assume that she killed the child, this wouldn’t be the first pregnancy concealed by a teen who then “disposed” of a live baby. A sad and terrible effect of the

“In an email exchange with a forensic pathologist, Dr. Elizabeth Murray wrote that ‘whether the bones were burned or not, that baby was still dead, had unexplained skull fractures, and was buried the backyard. I don’t understand why the burning takes it up such a notch.’”

I’m wondering why there’s a lack of focus on

Hey, be more respectful to the “Riker Maneuver”

Agreed that the limit is more artificial than practical.  That recognition doesn’t change the limitation.  The Chargers have limited resources to spend and Gordon offers a relatively common skillset.  He has little leverage and his best hope is for a trade.

Sure, it may be “right” to pay Gordon, but I don’t know that it’s actually smart. Running backs break down, and there are very few who can’t be replaced with 90% of the production at 20% or less of the cost.

But they don’t have to.  Running backs are largely a commodity in today’s NFL.  The top contracts almost exclusively go to quarterbacks and edge rushers with a few WRs thrown in. Overpaying for a running back is dumb.

Except every extra dollar they pay Gordon is a dollar less to spend elsewhere. And there is no guarantee as to how long he will remain healthy. The team is playing their strongest hand. I dont have a problem with Gordon holding out but he just doesn't have much leverage at this point.

What is the solution here? Hard to blame teams for not paying up given the way RBs typically age. Hard to blame RBs for wanting to get paid.

I know an anti-vaxxer, she is a otherwise a very nice person. I posted a cartoon on my facebook about how stupid it is not to vaccinate your kids. She practically wrote me an essay on how none of her three kids are vaccinated and gave me a link with some ridiculously easy to debunk “facts” about the causes of autism

I find the fact that his name is Jay Dee but his nickname is B.J. for more offensive/questionable than the drunken brawling.

So are we just conceding that tackling is not a skill we require in kickers?

Maybe some people have missed the point of characters like Frank Underwood and Walter White, but the entire point of those characters is that while interesting, they have always been bad guys. Take the last real conversation that Walter had with Skyler. He outright admitted that he did all the crap he did for selfish

This!

Also, if he’s getting all his news straight from Aunt Becky, he probably is confused about what crime was committed.

Why is Jon Stamos’ opinion about this even a thing?  They are lifelong friends - he’s not an attorney.  And anything he says will get twisted around.

John Stamos’s entire purpose in life since he was 19, has been to show up, look pretty (which, job VERY well done there, sir), and spout some cheesy tag lines that pass for basic cable-level humor... and perhaps ride that nostalgia wave into the sunset. I don’t think that critical thinking skills or even a general

I have a friend who regularly saves drunk weekend tubers after they’ve floated downstream and into the Arizona desert. One girl told him she thought the river just circled around and you’d float back to your original spot. You can’t make this stuff up.

He died like he lived: drifting aimlessly wherever the current took him.”

yes thank you for this, now we can all rest easy knowing that the great abortion dilemma of the US is now solved, thanks to iceman295

I look forward to the day when the rulebook takes four pages to define a clap.
