I loved ultra greatswords in DS 1 and 2. I’m 35 and my reflexes are no longer up to par, so I needed poise to use the slow animation of those weapons. Ultra greatswords are just useless in DS 3. Too slow and too easily interrupted. I hope this is a bug that they fix.

This is why we have the internet.

You have to pay taxes and die. I’d suggest you pay taxes.

Small towns like this use their police for revenue generation. The so called ‘speed traps’. These are not highly trained professionals. A town of 700 had a police chief and 4 reservists. I’d put $100 down that almost the entire police budget came from moving violations.

I’m only upset that natural selection chose to give her a pass and she still remains in the gene pool.

My roommate watches this show. I was getting some water and happened to see her ‘dancing’. She clearly hated her life and should not have been on the show.

That’s Joaquin Phoenix with a mullet.

Bureau of Labor states the median annual income for teachers is between $53-56K. It states a 10 month working year.

This comment is very telling of you. And nothing else.

Do you have a link you can provide? I ask because this does not correspond to what I have read or my own experience.

On this we most certainly see eye to eye. It is one thing to put in extra effort to meet a deadline. To routinely work uncompensated is bullshit. And no one should be expected to do that. And women in our society are put upon to ‘take one for the team’. Nope.

Professionally licensed engineer with a masters. I have continuing education requirements. Like most professions. I work right at 45 hours most weeks. Sometimes that gets bumped up to 60 (like this one. I am currently procrastinating creating my 300 to 400 page report since I will be up all night anyway) and sometimes

I’m not disagreeing with what you have stated. But this decrease in real compensation and benefits is universal to all but a few sectors of the economy.

Roommates and a part-time job.

I wrote a snarkier reply, but honestly; I don’t have anything against teachers. I’m just tired of this ‘hardest worker’ rhetoric. No matter who it is. We are all working pretty hard. And last I checked, we live in a free society and chose our professions. I’m an engineer. Wish I had picked lawyer.

Sure. Feel free to be dismissive and ignore that EVERY large study done on hours teacher work during the school year comes in right below the 47 week hour average for American workers.

Dated a teacher for a year. Everything you state is dependent on the school district. She had the option of getting a 9-month payout but chose the 12-month. And many Americans have more than one job to support their families. That points to a broader issue in the economy than just teacher compensation. Which is my

Okay.

There is a lot wrong with the economy. Simply raising wages for specific public services does nothing to address that and burdens many others that are experiencing the same affordability issues with increased taxes. Let’s address the underlying economic issues that will help everyone.

I’m glad your parents worked hard and cared about their jobs. I believe you are extrapolating the perception of your parents to all teachers. And your parents got paid for summer school.
