It’s amazing! I did not do CBT, but I recently had a psychiatric evaluation at which time they suggested EMDR. I got immediate results, and I’m actually excited to go to counseling now - that has NEVER happened before.

I understand what you’re saying, but I still don’t get it.

Thank you for sharing your story. It reminds me very much of my own history with therapy (or counseling as they used to call it when I was forced by my parents to go).

That is the motto my Mom raised me with. And something I frequently have to remind myself. 

Certainly not with our current “leader.”

Sadly, I don’t think it’s on the rise, I just think it’s become socially acceptable, even commendable!, under our current regime.
