I’m still angry at my older sister for breaking my favorite doll with her head when I hit her with it!  (I may have anger issues)

I spanked my son exactly once. He was about two and he laughed at me, and I was so infuriated I just wanted to make him cry. I also realized he would one day be bigger than me.

I did not hit my kids, but if one of them was being an asshole and deserved to be punched in the face (by someone else)- that’s a different thing.

I think it’s a bit different when people gain weight for a role. She’s not a plus-size actress, she’s just taking a role away from a plus-size actress.

C’mon Splinter! All of the people on this thread have been contributors for a long time.
Ungrey, please?

I feel like you’re missing the point - one hour of my weekend is gone!

I live in the PNW, so sweater weather lasts long beyond March. I’m still angry about the 47 hour weekend.

Because that’s when you get a 47 hour weekend!

*shudder*

But that orangeousness is a subsection of caucasity.

Same here, they’ll accept my stars, but otherwise I do not exist.

I have red hair and freckles. The teasing gets old, but I’ve never been followed around a store, pulled over unnecessarily, not been hired for a job (and the list goes on and on) because of it.

Having to give yourself a nickname is a really sad statement on your life and the people (or lack thereof) who hold you in esteem.

Idaho is one white-ass state.

I agree completely, and having the stewardess come back again and again to question the person helping me would piss me right off.

I usually love your posts, and have never felt I had anything of value to add to the conversation, but I feel I must address this one.

Nick seems to lead with that a lot. I’m assuming it’s one of the reasons he was hired.

It doesn’t sound like the person being helped had a problem - the stewardess did.

hee-hee

I don’t blame you. Coming from Atlanta, you do not want that culture shock!
It’s funny how everyone talks a big game about diversity here, but nobody seems to really understand what that means (or the value of it).
