That is what I think would be appropriate behavior. However, appropriate, tactful behavior is the last thing I expect from these types of people.

Please, don’t act like these guys are unemployable just because nobody cares about their redemption stories. Maybe they won’t be employed at the same level, but that’s based on their own actions. And rehabilitation takes years (if it ever ends), you don’t just go to sexual-rehab camp and come back fine.

No, I want them to go live their lives in quiet existence without their victims being insulted when they get praise for said rehabilitation. It’s really not that hard.

I generally do too, but I just don’t think I can stomach the subject matter on this one. Maybe I shouldn’t have commented, but this whole idea of these fuckers getting pats on the shoulders its utterly disgusting and depressing to me.

It’s not that they can’t be rehabilitated (playing devil’s advocate), it’s just that they blew it already. It’s time to go quietly into the night and not insult everyone they’ve victimized.

We’ll just have to agree to disagree. There are plenty of other people who are more worthy of those accolades. These aren’t the only people at the top of their fields.
