This isn’t divisive, this is justified behavior. This story and it’s origin are what demonstrate divisiveness, the family has no responsibility to accommodate anyone or anything that they see as having contributed to that divisiveness (white people - be they cops, journalists, allies, etc).

He creates women characters who are neurotic, losing it, willing to sleep with dudes twice their age, etc. Not the best roles for women, imo.
