ALAN ARKIN WINS THE STEAK KNIVES
by Miles David Moore
I’d be more excited by the 2CV that Roger Moore drove in “For Your Eyes Only.”
“Not sure if they are selling”, is the key phrase here. You would have to check back daily to see if they actually sold.
I was haunting the used-car sites for the TSX sedan 6speed, and the 2009+ models really never dipped below $8k-$12K. Covid added $2k to the pricing and inflation another 1k, so that makes this an okay price with the rebuilt title. (As estimated by wonky math.)
I saw one the other day and remembered that they existed. $10k is a normal price for these. This, the Mazda6 wagon and the X Type Sportwagon are the wagons everyone forgot existed.
We need to get back to worshipping the sun. This “Jesus” thing isn’t and hasn’t been working out for some time now.
All of these regardless of brand simply look really stupid. As in- sure- try and convince anyone that’s a 1930's classic when anyone with a brain can see its just a modern car with shit stuck to the front and rear
Stock BMW short block... with all the Alpina goodies bolted onto it.
M539 has done exactly that. After rebuilding the engine — twice — he’s now got a B7 that may actually be better than what rolled off the lot. He hasn’t yet said how much he’s sunk into it, but I’m guessing he’s inching close to $100k (for a full restoration).
I don’t mean to brag, but I have something in common with a Lexus. We both have tiny Speedos!
This price looks way too high for a high mileage C4 Corvette with the slushbox.
Wow! That’s a clean Daytona!
Maybe it is just me, but whenever I see a listing where there was an engine swap or some other major rebuild or swap done just 2-3k miles prior, I wonder if the owner is “sick of this POS” and trying to cash out before it strikes their wallet again.
Dear god... do you hear that? The howling, the snarling, the... sounds of eating?
Looks like it sold already. Not surprised.. it’s not an ideal model, but it is in good shape for its age. A 190 fan was definitely going to pick it up. I kinda like it. The price would be better if I didn’t have to replace the grill and wheels. Then again, the likelihood of finding one with original / not-ugly whe…
It’s cool, just not 4.5k cool.
I had already done it for you. Could have saved the effort.
