I am too old. Until recently I’d never heard of Hoonigans, caught a few minutes of one of their videos here, and now I despise everything related to them.

I’m constantly tinkering on my phone and I still can’t imagine having settings open for an average of more than two minutes a day.... wtf.

Well shit, if you’re living a hour of your life per day in your phone’s Settings, you ought to be sad. So many questions. That’s like 10% of your waking life looking at settings. On your phone.

When I was bartending in the 90's Ric Flair tipped me $100. I flipped out.

As Hemingway said: “Write drunk, edit sober.” This applies to music and drugs as well. Drugs can help with artistic creativity but they also wreck your motor skills. You only use them during the songwriting process. When it comes time to step in the booth, you do that shit sober.

I think part of that, at least for me, is how heroin has affected a number of bands in rather tragic and visible ways. I suspect it’s pretty easy to see your life spiral down on heroin, and it’s not a socially acceptable drug. I feel like addiction contributed to Kurt Cobain’s overall condition, heroin killed Janis
