Yeah, well, I just had my heart broken by a group of women I trusted and thought were my friends and I am very grateful that my actual best friend (my husband) has been a solid shoulder to cry on. So I am not so sure about Anna’s advice now.

I totally agree with Anna Faris - the problem is that I don’t live those words of wisdom. I’m one of those sad people without a proper best friend (but with a lot of good friends). My boyfriends invariably become my best friends, which means that when I break up with them, I also lose my best friend. It sucks.

Oh, and I spilled his french fries and he wasn’t even mad.

Man that version of “We Didn’t Start the Fire” blows.

It’s one of them. I think I give The Wire the edge, but it’s reeealllly close. I just rewatched because Swearengen is in American Gods (very good too!), and watching Ian McShane on screen again I was like “okay it’s time to rewatch Deadwood”

MY favorite HBO show hands down.

Deadwood was FANTASTIC!!

Now playing

Sarah Paulson was really badass in Deadwood, she played this undercover Pinkerton agent trying to pin a man’s murder on his wife because she inherited his hugely profitable gold claim, and she (Paulson’s character) had been sent by the man’s family to get the gold claim back.

Can’t it just be to feel good/be healthier?

I originally wanted to focus my graduate work in literature in early 20th century American lit because I like Sherwood Anderson and Hemingway. Then I realized that would mean that I would also spend a great deal of my time teaching Gatsby and I ran as quickly as I could into British literature.

The little soap operas in a multi-cat household can be fascinating. Also like soap operas, they wrap up in about an hour so everybody can take a nap.

Clever girl.

“might not fully grasp the details of the steps he was about to take”

I recommend everyone click through and read the GoFundMe firsthand account of this story. It has definitely brightened my day.

I’ve lived in Maine almost my entire 33 years and I had no idea we had a town named Kokadjo.

I read or heard somewhere this weekend, and I wish I could remember where it was, that during times like these, everyone should be keeping a journal and just writing down the way things are- so that as our country slips into totalitarianism, and democracy is lost, we can remember what life was like. That is to say

After reading his brief statement, Sessions declined to take questions.

I love that Michelle is free to do whatever she damn well pleases now that she’s FLOTUS in our hearts only. And the best pic is Blue Ivy’s:
