Thank you for this! Also applicable to all of the dickwads saying that Roy Moore should step down if the allegations against him are “proven true.” Where do they think these allegations will be proven, if not in the Washington Post article in which multiple witnesses independently corroborated the stories?

That’s the thing: notice the “dark times” he’s referring to aren’t those of women being sexually assaulted (as this article seems to imply at the end of the Piven section) - no, the “dark times” we’re facing are because “allegations are being printed as facts.”

Just this morning, my facebook reminded me that 12 years ago to this night, I was having beers with Jason Momoa. Pre GOT, in a bar in our hometown.

This is so meta. Teen girl needs to adopt male alter-ego to be taken seriously in baseball journalism, but adopts male alter-ego of a sketchy jerk, gets busted.

“mere allegations”

Dear Jeremy Piven,

Ironically, women have been “torn down” since the dawn of civilization due to men thinking that access to a woman’s body is their right.

“Man accused of sexual assault wishes women would stop reporting their experiences of sexual assault”. I am shocked.

Not really? I don’t know Schultz’s actual orientation and alignment and neither matter in the scheme of things, but her story does go to show that the patterns of abuse directed at and against women are not (a) unique to men or (b) primarily about sexual fulfillment. They’re about wielding power, letting off steam at

Hmmm... not exactly true.

Actually, if she truly is a sociopath, the last thing she should get is counseling:

I am an old, but I totally used a boy’s name to talk about Orioles baseball on Prodigy in the mid-90s. But I was just a 18 year old boy instead of an 18 year old girl, and I only talked about baseball. I get that part, but Becca lost me after that.

13-17 year olds don’t have a completely developed emotional system for dealing with relationships. That’s why we have laws to protect them from adult predators. She’s coming from a fucked up place, but she got into it as a child, and couldn’t figure out how to get out of it as an adult.

It was certainly written in a more sympathetic tone than it would have been had this actually been a 30-something man. I doubt his pain would have been acknowledged. And she wasn’t 13 forever.

I’m truly sorry. I started with what I thought was a witty name and it escalated from there. All I wanted was for my lame jokes about David Moyes and Kyrie Irving to be taken seriously and then I became the conflicted monster I am now.

Does it give her a pass? I just read a long, damning expose of her behaviour that makes it almost impossible to think of her as anything but an abuser. It doesn’t seem like charges have been filed, however.

So a teenage girl pretended to be a man in his 30's on the internet.

Like Becca, I would like to apologize to everyone for perpetuating a fraud, as I am neither French nor from Montana.

“Her abuse of those women aside”

Yeah, but what’s her take on a 4-3 defensive scheme with Manti Te’o at the Mike?
