Common sense says otherwise, as has been demonstrated time and again and then later justified by disparaging the victim as “looking funny” or “seeming big.” If cops are too frightened to do their jobs properly, they should seek other work elsewhere.

Waiting for evidence is all well and good as long as that evidence is coming. What if the police never release their body cam videos? Police have the power of evidence, here, so we can at least be outraged enough that they have to release the footage.

I mean to me, the only feasible reason cops wouldn’t want to release is if it was damning. If it showed the victim pulling a gun and being shot, then they would have released it already.

You can absolutely do that in my open carry state. You can fucking point a gun in the direction of another person WITH YOUR FINGER ON THE TRIGGER and as long as you aren’t, I don’t know, verbally threatening to shoot that person, that is not considered “brandishing” and thus not illegal.

And just think...Blacks have been living in this world since it’s inception in the 15th and 16th century. Not trying to invalidate your feelings, but just imagine this being your generational history and lineage.

The video shows once again that open carry laws do not apply to black Americans. If he is legally allowed to openly carry a gun in the state of NC, why in the hell are the officers telling him to drop it?

Cops are absolutely known to attack people while yelling “stop resisting” so them yelling “drop the gun” for no reason wouldn’t surprise me.

Of they say it automatically, because that’s how they were taught to react. These are not bright people and they are constantly told that everyone is trying to kill them, all the time. And that, if they thought someone had a gun or was reaching, they wouldn’t get in trouble for shooting “first.”
