That was a lot. And all in an effort to say... what exactly?
The same people say the same kinds of stuff about No Man’s Sky, to try to make Sean Murray and Hello Games out to be villains.  Yeah, things didn’t turn out great at the beginning, but it’s this isn’t murder.  This isn’t grand larceny.  I’m sure if I really

Loved the game when it came out. I didn’t buy into any of the hype people were piling on it, watched plenty of news about it, saw the interviews and all that. When it was revealed it wasn’t actually multiplayer I had no problem with that. I didn’t see it as some kind of MASTER DECEPTION(!) like so many people did.

Sean

I might wait for another free week to see it again.  I don’t like paying for games like this anymore, unfortunately.

Yeah this is one of my big complaints, too. People have been jumping on me for “not giving it another chance” and “not knowing how things have changed”, but this type of game is kinda old. The philosophy behind it is kinda old. I still like this kind of game, but not enough to pay 15 bucks a month.

Oh that’s interesting. EQ did something somewhat similar a long time ago and it kinda worked, but the AI for the party members was terrible and usually just ended with me dying at the hands of 20 enemies.
Some other people in the grays were shouting at me that “I’M SO WRONG!” but didn’t really provide examples.  Thanks

I played FFXIV also. It’s leaps and bounds better than XI, but still a bit of a slog if you’re getting into it now as a newbie. I played at launch (the ORIGINAL launch, that is), and then again for A Realm Reborn. It’s a very fun game, but it just gets grindy. All MMOs are grindy, though, so I won’t say that’s a bad

I get emails from them all the time to re-up my sub to FFXI.  I can’t believe this game is still going.  I really liked it back in the day, but the newer expansions have really done weird things with the game.  It’s still mostly un-soloable, grindy, and full of outdated mechanics.  I played it pretty heavily maybe 3

I’m in the same boat with Destiny 2. I just don’t crave to experience what they consider the endgame. I don’t have a reliable group to raid with, nor the time to grind out all the powerful engrams to get my power level to where it needs to be to raid. I don’t PvP. I actively avoid it because I hate it so much. Gambit

I’m barely optimistic, but only because I live near Seattle and will have low latency.

I think they were gathering a lot of back-end data. It’s entirely possible you were a test case for user acceptance at a given framerate at your bandwidth. They needed a large data set to tune their image processing and video streaming algorithms.

Yes, I think that’s a good route.  Your old save will be mostly fine, I think, but maybe just confusing since they removed a lot of the old materials and recipes for components.  You’ve got a leg up with your freighter and probably a ton of cash, so that’s good.  Also, you can make a base INSIDE your freighter now,

I’m continually astounded at the quality of this game as they add features. To be honest, I’ve had the game since release and I’ve loved it since then, but all the new features are great. The vehicles are so much fun to drive around a planet. Bases are fun to build (but g***amnit we need MORE and easier storage

I played a lot from launch until now, picking it up and playing along. The “new player” experience is better now. If you’re an older player, though, you may get frustrated with the new quests to get the old familiar things you could get quicker in the past, so it’s really up to you if you want to retain those “end

From an attack perspective, it makes sense to use your Javelin for strafing runs. I know I sure as hell would! Standing mostly stationary to attack, thereby leaving me as a target, is kinda stupid.
As a team tactic, it would be cool to have a Colossus strafe shield bash enemies to build aggro while the team picks them

I said this on an earlier article about this service and I stand by it:
Google would have to do this at a price point that is nearly free to make it worth it for most people.

On the announcement article on Kotaku I mentioned that it felt like they were hiding it because they thought it would fail. I am fully admitting that I was wrong.

I don’t like PvP and I haven’t played this game AT ALL. Just putting that up front. However, I have several successful partnered streamer friends who dropped

So glad I’m not the only one who has a stupid Simpsons reference for everything.

Just a quick update on this:  I finally played this weekend and the campaign is pretty damn good.  The mission in the factory with all those moving slabs rotating is amazing

I realized just after writing that response that I actually did complete all of D2 Scholar of the First Sin.  D3 I did most of, but I got stuck on “flying lightning bolt god dude(?)“ and just gave up haha.  #ragequit #igotbettershittodothandie
