Both sides! Both sides! Both sides! Wahhhh!

Two sentences, describing the project as ambitious? I don’t seriously take that as hype. No Man’s Sky was ambitious, even in its initial state. Yes, boring and missing many promised features, but still quite ambitious.
This reads like someone that still holds a grudge towards “No Man’s Sky”. Look at how much work was put it in since the release. Did they mess up? Yes! However they also owned up and have supported a game with substantial and creative updates for close to 6 years!
I disagree. Sure, both made original claims that were a bit much, but that’s where the similarities end.
My main fantasy recc was Dungeon World which now has a weird legacy on account of one of its writers. I’ve heard great things about Quest as a really streamlined system!
The folks who make Lancer just released the playtest rules for their fantasy equivalent: Icon. It plays very similarly, but in a fantasy-punk world, and contains a lot of fun allusions to Final Fantasy, including giving characters limit breaks. All the different classes seem like allusions to different fantasy…
Damn, based on that picture I expected something like “He’s stepping down to spend more time on his hobbies, collecting swords and hitting on high schoolers in the local bowling alley parking lot."

To anyone that is interested in this ortholinear keyboard, you can get these on Amazon now.
I have a Preonic and an ID75. What’s the longer one with the purple, white and red keycaps?
Imagine the rage quit with this behemoth. Also I always wanted one back when I used to play PSO on GameCube.
“Yeah, but its a fucking sweet race car bed.”
Nope! The new Xbox consoles are also similarly difficult to find, but interest in the PS5 blows Xbox Series consoles out of the water. For instance—and this was just one data point of many that sparked the idea for this article—one of my Kotaku colleagues spotted a forum post asking people to emoji-react about…
You couldn’t make your own characters in the old Dark Alliance games either. They weren’t specific characters (that I remember, anyway), but they were preset classes that you chose from. The games were never really full-on roleplaying. They were definitely focusing on action and somewhat loot.
