It’s good, not great. Probably a little overhyped. As others have pointed out, its main appeal is you can get lots of food (and food combos) for cheap. Like you can get a corn dog or a quesadilla as a side item so its a late night partaker’s dream if you know what I’m saying. If you’re expecting some top quality place

I can’t say I’ve ever heard Cook Out called the In N Out of the southeast. It has nowhere near the rep or fanaticism behind it, just people who appreciate the variety and prices. If you ever see someone wearing clothes with the Cook Out logo on them it’s because they work there.

you don’t go there for the unbeatable quality. You go there because it’s late at night and nothing else is open

Exactly. What’s fun is getting chicken nuggets and a quesadilla as sides with your burger. The individual items themselves are just fine.

Cook-Out is a restaurant that you have to solve like a puzzle to find your optimal experience. The Tray is the draw, but you have to be aware of its shortcomings - you would think that, if you can get a whole quesadilla or a corn dog as a side item, every side offering would be as generous, but it took me multiple

I have a vision impaired friend who immediately came to mind. The bloated regular interface would seriously cramp his ability to read Gmail. Fortunately for him, he’s a techie who doesn’t trust big corporations and runs his own email, so he won’t be affected. But I’ve known completely blind people who still rely on

I can deal with some bloat when have a normal connection, still have an old through Yahoo! as well but I really dislike using it.

Also - though I’ve only had In-N-Out one time, I feel like Cook Out is considerably better. In-N-Out might have marginally better burgers (though both pale in comparison to a Five Guys or similar), but their fries are trash. And can you get a side quesadilla at In-N-Out? BBQ? Hot dogs? I think not.

Yes, “Right Stuff” era Corvettes the astronauts raced around Florida in have historical significance, the historical significance of what Alan Shepard drove as an older dude, not so much.  I don’t think it adds much if any to the value of the car, I am at overpriced by the factor of about 10x.

I’m an NC native and I’ve lived here nearly 30 years - Cook Out is great, but you don’t go there for the unbeatable quality. You go there because it’s late at night and nothing else is open. You go there because they have such an extensive menu that everyone in your family or friend group is probably cool to eat someth

That sucks, I’m frequently in places without wifi and poor cell service so have used it a fair bit.

Yeah, an actually desirable actually cool actually classic car, given to an actual astronaut as part of the famous astronaut car giving? That’s totally worth it.

Cookout Style works much better on dogs than burgers.  I wouldn't call it the In N Out of the south from a quality perspective, but the price point can't be beat

A couple thoughts:
1) The Milkshakes at Cookout aren’t milkshakes, they’re just straight up ice cream desserts that should be eaten with a spoon. Just throw the straw away. You should compare it to a Blizzard or a McFlurry.

but sadly it probably won’t look like this rad EV hatch

you want the NSX to look like a Geo Metro??? God, this site has changed...

The moon is a giant ball of cocaine? Wallace and Gromit told me it was made of cheese!

Yup, his ‘68 with 427 and 4-speed went for $308k last year. That feels right, between the spec, and being an astronaut’s Corvette from the period when he was an active astronaut. Asking damn near as much for a nothing special 4th gen (and I say that as someone who wants a 4th gen, at least at current prices) from when

Somebody has been snorting to much of that white moon dust. ND

$250,000 for a slushbox 90s Camaro is weapons-grade crazy, regardless of who owned it.
