OMG, I love me some sliced black olives in my tuna sandwich. Agree on the relish - I was served a tuna sandwich with sweet green relish in it once. Man, was that disgusting.

My go-to for celery flavor in tuna salad is celery seed. I crack whole celery seed in my mortar and pestle. I use celery seed in a lot of other things too.

For some flavors, sure. Some people also like children.

I’ve taken a similar habit, only with a silicone baking mat rather than a damp towel. Works like a charm.
