I was kinda surprised Dennis didn’t complain about Gunnhild’s tear turning to gold.

With all the mentions of Super Friends, I hope Kara gets to sing again.

But why? Why do we need specific medical details here? Particularly when it’s about a kid who’s most likely never going to appear on the show at any point? It’s not integral to the plot in any way; it’s about as relevant as debating the anti-trolling legislation that Winn mentioned. And since this is a far more

Y’know, using quotes there is just telling on yourself.  Stop being weird about a trans person’s plumbing. She’s a woman, the power flows between the women of her family. What else is there to explain?

Yeah, all the consent jokes didn’t really land in that scene. It didn’t come across as him being cute and joking with his date, it came across more of, “Is this what men are supposed to do? Is this what you want?” which seems to be deliberately missing the point.

As much as I’ve enjoyed Lena’s ascension, I’ve felt more and more that it’s had a bad side-effect of displacing Alex as the heart of the show. Especially since Chyler Leigh is one of the most compelling performers in the cast.

I agree. Not only did the episode seem flat overall, the filming consent scene was rough. I mean, I understand that not all AVC reviewers agree with each other, but I find it odd that this scene was conveniently skipped in this review when a similar scene in Kimmy Schmidt was the centerpiece of that review, which was

Though Winn starts with anger and moves to forgiveness, Jordan plays the scene with such an underlying sense of menace that I genuinely thought we were headed towards a reveal that Toyman had taken his place.

I do love that the tower has its own balcony of deep thoughts. It’s a pretty cool new hangout. Though I do worry that this will be a bad thing for Alex in the long-term if it replaces the DEO. The DEO helps keep Alex relevant when she has no story. And she doesn’t have any story this season.

I can’t be the only one who noticed Sara was left out of ALL of the superheroes mentioned. And given how important she was in Crisis, I’m more than a little disappointed.

Larry casually telling Ted Danson he was opening up a Spite Store as if it was a normal everyday thing was the highlight.

I love LD and have been a fan forever, but the “asking for consent” scene bugged me. Maybe it was just my mood tonight, but I felt the sexual harassment storyline was a bit, I don’t know, disrespectful? Insensitive? Patronizing?

I thought that Larry being surprised at Susie’s “This makes up for everything you’ve ever done to me” was the funniest moment of the season so far. I laughed out loud and rewound it to watch that part again.

Since it’s obviously going to make up a major portion of this season, I really hope the Me Too/sexual harassment plot line gets funnier, because two episodes in I’m already annoyed by it, and it seems awfully half-assed and lazy and is distracting from funnier threads. It is like in looking for material he spent 3

So....where were the Legends in all of this? Not even a name drop?

it’s such a relief we get to keep a Balcony of Deep Thoughts around.

Even in the future, Leviathan is pretty underwhelming.

I can’t put my finger on it, but something feels off about these first two episodes. This one had a lot of classic Curb bits: the Susie portrait and its inevitable destruction, the cancer scare/cancer friends, side-sitting and Larry botching an apology, bathroom etiquette. But the portrait one was the only one that I

He’s such a great character, as soon as Bjorn decided to save him I knew he was going to get screwed over hard, Harald is the best/worst.
