No it is the same because anyone playing online on their xbox already has game pass. Needing to get game pass to play on xbox is going to apply to a very small subset of people.

This is a grossly untrue statement. Just because gamepass is a great subscription to have, it doesnt carry every game that comes out. Ive spent close to $200 dollars this month alone on 3 games and who knows if ill spend more on a stealth release.

Skipping Chadley? How can anyone feel anything but sheer, unadulterated joy at the prospect of more Chadley?

Had to be held up with 2 hands before inserting into console.

i stopped playing D4 about 3 weeks into season 2 and one of the big reasons for me was just how gross the store was (plus the game is not well made on a variety of fronts). they had some different portal skins in the S2 battle pass IIRC and that really struck a nerve with me...if they are willing to change the color

So what you’re saying is that context is key, and absent context, you’re just spitting numbers out that have no meaning?

No permanent Double Decker? Not interested. I will die on this fucking hill.

I was skeptical of the device of interspersing the gameplay with little short stories, but it was so well done that I’m shocked we haven’t seen more games do this. I believe they were written by a novelist, and it shows. They really build a well of emotion under the structure of the game, and eventually, it pays off

According to the article, Blizzard didn’t have an engine that could actually support the game. That alone is typically the nail in the coffin for any game that’s in pre-production, especially if said game is a risky new IP. Engine overhauls are very expensive and time-consuming. Unless the publisher is confident that

*sigh*

I’m not sure -- seems more like I’m explicitly stating it.  Imma get banned aren’t I?

Consumerism is absolutely out of control.

I am naked under all these clothes.

Improved backwards compatibility is never going to happen regardless of how powerful the specs are.

No, they love 400fps.

It’s when the counter in the corner drops to 398 that they’ll say “literally unplayable” and start calling it a shitty port.

I’m replaying it since the 2.0 update and it’s really a new game.

In the year 2023, with games loaded with grindy RNG and time gated live service “events” no one should ever use the “hours played per dollar” metric.

“by your logic a game could cost $100's but still cost less per hour than going to a concert”

I don’t have a big problem with $70 game as long as they are big tent pole AAA games. Lower budget games and indie stuff should remain around $50 or less. This means checking out reviews is more important than ever. Is a particular new game really worth $70+, or should I just wait for a sale months down the road.
