I think I was already in my 30’s, but still...Spike was hot. (as was the building shattering whoopee)

I was going to write this until I saw your post. And I kinda hate the fact that she's so oblivious to the reasons why people would like it. Because she's never not been beautiful, she can't imagine how that feels.
Very true, I meant to make that as if it’s actually untouched. If it was retouched to make her look worse then screw that.
Yeah, National Geographic and Scientific American are usually fine. Well, they don’t make you feel ugly at least. Dumb and boring and poor, maybe, but probably not ugly.
Right?! If images in magazines aren’t supposed to make me feel inferior then why is every accompanying article about how to keep my man and improve every aspect of my life from my the skin between my toes to the small talk I make at parties. People who feel 100% fantastic about themselves aren’t buying those articles.
Buffy is great, but everytime I watch it, I dislike Xander more and more. (The character, not the actor, who is clearly going through some stuff right now. I hope he gets better.) Xander is the “nice guy,” who thinks he’s owed for being nice. Blech.
Honest to blog?
It’s even more adorable because when she came out everyone was like “Dude, we know. We all saw your sex scenes with Jesse Eisenberg in To Rome, with Love. We know you’re a lesbian.”
If the photo was retouched to make her look different to how she actually looks then that’s not the same thing. Embracing your flaws and being confident and happy in your skin is not the same as having a photo out there that gives you flaws that you don’t actually have. Wrinkles and stretch marks are fine but…
“Why would seeing a bad picture of me make other people feel good?,” she asks.

Oh I completely agree. I don’t see how that made her feel bad... but then again why do any of us feel bad about our bodies? It’s the conditioning of our culture. And I suppose even super models aren’t immune to the pressure of perfection.
Sometimes, the images that women see in magazines make them feel inferior—even though the intention is never to make anyone feel less.
Why would seeing a bad picture of her make people feel good? To see that even super models have flaws.
“the intention is never to make anyone feel less.”
Dude, just tell people you’re gay.
Freddie and Sarah are the cutest and I've always thought so. Glad they're still together and seem genuinely happy.
“Why would seeing a bad picture of me make people feel good?” Crawford asked Lena Dunham.
The intention of magazine IS to make us feel less, though. Isn't that the whole point of them?
If I looked like Cindy Crawford in the “bad” photo... I’d be in jail. Cause I’d be having naked parades everyday right in the middle of the street.
