What I meant was that screening against gay or bi men was not a gesture of homophobia; it was a response to the epidemiology of the disease.

Did you even read what I wrote?

Nope, it doesn't. Lesbian women have the lowest rates of STD infection in the nation. Gay men have the highest. It's just how biology and bodily juices work.

Were you around in the 80s, when AIDS struck the gay population first, and the hemophiliacs second? And no, I'm not saying that homosexuality = disease. That's just the way history was and biology is. Lesbian women have lower rates of all STDs, including HIV, than straight men or women, who in turn have lower rates

Especially considering that HIV can sit dominant undetected for a LONG TIME.

Yes, it's voluntary disclosure. The presumption is that people who donate blood do so only for humanitarian reasons, so would comply with the guidelines. Different blood centers have at different times tried paying people to donate blood, and the rates of contaminated blood donations rose.

She may; she may not. Unless you plan to put a leash on her, you won't get to control it.

I'm not acting like teens should do whatever they want. I'm acting like teens do do whatever they want. Which they do.

And so she is entitled (with a willing partner). As much as you or I would wish that she'd wait, reeeeeaaaally hope that she'd use condoms, etc, etc, we don't get to tell her what to do.

I don't understand why you're trying to convince me that it's a bad idea for 15-year-olds to be sexually active. I happen to agree with you, but my original post had nothing to do with whether I thought this whole situation was good vs. bad. I was just speculating on what was.

Disagree! This story sounds like more of a case of lust than love. The girl wanted to get laid, which is fine, but then the asshole recorded it, which is NOT fine.

Yes, expressing himself via sarcasm.

Not one sarcasm meter is working today?

Oh geeze now that is really bad! :)

Thanks for the response! It's very interesting. I hope you've found a happy place now.

You know... I could pretty much rationalize stealing a puppy no matter how kind or decent the owner is. Because it's a puppy and I wants it. I know, I'm terrible.

That one guy has a rottweiler puppy, so... I'd cut him a bit more slack. Just a bit. But I'd totally go meet him on condition that he brings the puppy, and then hold the puppy and then leave. :)

Hahaha!

That's really gross! Good for you for being awesome!

Cool! I'm excited for you too, then! :)
