I am Asian, and my hair is actually lower-maintenance when it's longer. It hangs straight and never tangles. When it's shorter, I get sticky-outy parts going this way and that and need to tame them. Is laziness an acceptable excuse to keep long hair?

Yup. They are so cute I am embarrassed because I don't want to be one of those people that gets dogs for cosmetic purposes. I try to slip in that I committed to adopting them sight unseen (they retired from being sled dogs on my friends' farm).
