Consistently the worst advice I see on Kotaku for every game is to turn off the map and/or HUD. It almost ruined Zelda for me when I was dying slowly and had no clue I was freezing. It made it impossible to find anything in numerous games. It’s just bad advice in general unless you love aimless wandering. I don’t need

They’re still in. That means I’m out. No concessions are going to make me ok with a full priced game trying to get more money from me.

That’s called perspective and the law is there to ignore that. Drugs are illegal and rape is illegal. Both are punished regardless of your perspective.

Nobody made her bring drugs on a plane. She isn’t denying that. The law is still the law. And I’m a bit confused how it’s wrong to bring this up 8 months later but ok to bring up what Shitbag Harvey did 20 years ago.

Games were so much more fun when politics stayed the fuck out. And no, it’s not unavoidable. You’ll get it if you push it into everything but I’m not the only one that plays to get away from it. That applies to both sides. And you can easily make a game where you kill Nazis without delving into it. The alt right

This has the flawed thinking we’re worried about from publishers. You don’t chase the fickle money. It’s such a terrible business concept that they teach it right at the start of business school. That bulk of money will go to the movies if they want or to a theme park. The audience that buys games in 1987, 1997, 2007,

The irony in the first few paragraphs is so thick it’s goddamn tangible.

It’s refreshing to see at least some of these people accepting blame. These stories always have a good bit of terrible practices and expectations on the part of the devs but they always point up. Bad management of course ruins games but you can figure out from enough stories that devs do it to themselves too.

There’s nothing they can do to win me over on this. I don’t follow or trust any of these people. And I never will. I’d bet more people feel that way than not. Steam is trying to grab an audience that was built elsewhere. That doesn’t really work.

I can confirm this works. I was asked at my last job and said “ballpark I’m thinking around 250k but I can be talked down. A little” and sure enough I came in almost 10k a year above everyone in the region in that position. I was shocked at the offer honestly because everyone told me including Glassdoor that I’d at

Fuck this planet. I could have gone my whole life not knowing this shit existed. At least it’s starting to be treated the way it should be.

This piece is all over the place and just a mess. You start by being so vague that I get the impression if a guy finds you attractive but never says so, you’d consider it a step shy of assault. Then your college story is worse. It was something between nothing and rape but later the guy is using his virginity as an

Woo hoo! More coverage of people and clips! I was worried Kotaku might cover games for a second there but this is a nice influx of social media crap instead. Dodged a bullet there.

Dude, spoiler warning about Mario dying in Odyssey.

Meanwhile the rest of us sit back and disgustedly watch the world slowly circle the drain. What a bunch of human feces. I just can’t decide if these scumbags are the worst or their fans.

You used a plural when you meant a singular. Only GTAIV had expansions.

I may be the only person skipping Wolfenstein half because I’m sick of both sides bringing up the Nazi thing (seriously, shut the fuck up left and right) and half because the cornball crap from the first seems to be the entire focus in the second. I hated the drug trip bit, the characters that weren’t actively

So Kotaku is just for fellating Twitch and YT streamers now or what? The game coverage is getting really sparse but this crap is nonstop.

The problem isn’t the options developers and publishers have, it’s that they aren’t including the consumer. I’d pay $100 per game if they had no DLC, no microtransactions, no cosmetics. I’m not given that choice. I’m told things are too expensive so I’m not getting a full game.

Why is this on Kotaku? There are like 20 games out in the last couple of weeks that haven’t even been mentioned on here but you can talk about a show aimed at dumb people?
