We had a girl move to our middle school who was from Minneapolis when I was a kid. Let me borrow the cassette tape for 1999. This was probably 1981-82. Been a fan since. One of the few celeb deaths that bum me out.

I agree with you. My Tundra doesn’t so much as upshift early as refuse to downshift. I just think that say with the ecoboost thing we recognize that along with using more fuel than the EPA test would suggest that it results in higher emissions as well. I don’t happen to weigh one over the other really, I just think it

I never understood why this stuff wasn’t viewed in the same light as the VW diesel fiasco. Seems more fuel burned = more emissions. Maybe not as much, but still.

I’ll just leave this here

Came here looking for this. Leaving happy! Need moar starz.

Had mine for 15 years. Still going strong. They have their faults, sure. Mileage sucks, the hvac knobs will break, same with the rear wing-window hinges. But I don’t remember them being cheaper than the domestic trucks at the time, are are far from under powered. Their 4.7 put out similar power to Ford and Chevy. The

Then promptly blew all 17 air bags and rolled to a stop?

Mad MS Paint skills there.

But that doesn’t fit the agenda now, does it? It just gives people an excuse to act condescending and appalled.

I agree. But pushing hard equals building a solid, reliable, well-featured vehicle at a competitive price for many years before you get back on a lot of people’s shopping lists. Changing the general public’s perception of their products will take another 10+ years of building what that general public thinks

This was never true. There were separate beta sign ups for Landmark and EQN. They pushed Landmark as “help create” EQN, but they were always separate products.

Had a room-mates buddy tell me the same thing about his sport bike.

Don’t think it (a Wrangler based truck) would be a direct competitor really. Little too small for that. I think they would sell a ton of Wrangler based trucks, something akin to the AEV Brute double cab.

Probably never.

How are these things on the highway? I like the look and the design, but do spend time on the highway often.

I will never understand why people make time to hate. Baffles me. I have too much stuff to do as it is.

Best looking brands probably, but unless/until they really address their quality issues they will struggle some.

I love the article (and have seen it before), but you are correct I think. I doubt these dragsters have over 170,000 horsepower. Maybe 7-10k I think.
