I think her as an ongoing pattern of saying such things, but previously he has been able to deny it (no recording devices) or control it (reality tv). The fact that the media can hold recordings and play back the embarrassing parts has not really occurred to him.

I’ve been very uncomfortable for a while with the violence Trump and his supporters direct toward Clinton. It was really bad during the convention.
