I think this sums up a lot of how I feel. I agree with the idea that you have to do things and move on, but the way it was handled feels... I dunno... callous?

I guess you weren’t listening to what he was saying?

He didn’t, though. That was only in Ben’s version of the story. Luke admits to a passing moment of anger and doubt and even igniting the lightsaber, but there never was or would have been an attempt to use it... Unless you’re taking Ben’s version over Luke’s...

Y-Wings are (or at least, should be) all retired by TFW. They were old and obsolescent during the rebellion, and just used because the rebels were desperate for ships (old bombers are better than no bombers an’ all).

Is it wrong that I want all of the actors standing behind their character in the last photo? Or at least all random. That half of them are standing with their character and half aren’t irritates me for some reason. O.o

I guess you could say... you developed a blindspot for that show...

I don’t know, the design decisions in the two most recent movies seem pretty deliberate. With Rogue One, it was set immediately preceding Ep IV. Too much change would have been jarring and difficult to explain. Everything SHOULD look like it did in Ep IV.

Re-commenting from a reply in the other article about this episode (was originally a reply to someone commenting about Star Fleet antics in DS9):

Or you could go back even further to Star Trek VI where you have a faction within Star Fleet that is actively trying to engineer a war with the Klingons...

FWIW, Google also has survey platform that ties into your Google account, and it’s free without restrictions (so far as I’m aware):

Now playing

One minor nitpick... there wasn’t, and still isn’t any such thing as the ‘British Royal Army’. Only the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy are allowed to use ‘Royal’. There are ‘Royal’ regiments and other sub-units, but the army does not carry the ‘Royal’ designation. The first national standing army in Britain was raised

I can’t say that I have been. But that’s a straw man argument, anyway.

Wong was an architect, it was wordplay based on the names of two architects... how is that unrelated? If anything, it could be considered complimentary because it places Wong over Wright as the punchline, arguably one of the best known and admired architects of the 20th century.

The whole point is that it sounds similar and was a play on two architects. I think you’re reading far more into it than there actually is. Phonetic name plays are nothing new.

I think you’re being overly sensitive here. It’s not strictly a Chinese/Asian thing (as others have pointed out... I mean the initial post even uses ‘Wright’ as a play on ‘right’ FFS). So once again, how is this racially insensitive?

Again, though... In what way was it ‘racially insensitive’?

In what way was this racially insensitive? It had absolutely nothing to do with his ethnicity. It was a play on phonetics for the names of two prominent architects. Was it racially insensitive to use ‘Wright’ instead of ‘right’? I mean...

Well, the original body actor looked like this:

Hmm, well, they both have multi-year production cycles. As long as they come out in alternating years, you’ll be fine. ...May need to pick up a 3rd series for full coverage, though.

The counter argument being that giving in rewards the negative behaviour.
