It’s a shame that only about 30% of English is Latin based, then, and those rules don’t apply.

I suggest you watch the video linked above. Much of what you’re quoting as ‘fact’ is actually apocrypha.

Huh, I wonder what this means for the Toys R Us international assets that were already sold off.  The Canadian stores were bought in the firesale and continue to operate as Toys R Us.  I believe there are still Toys R Us stores in parts of Europe and Asia.

A little of column A, a little of column B. They were designed with STOVL aircraft in mind, but could be adapted to take a catapult as well. The Prince of Wales (the second in the class), and the proposed French variant were both supposed to be CATOBAR, but the Brits changed their mind when they saw the price tag, and

You would think that for someone so outraged at the supposed affront to a national icon he would be more familiar with the ideals it was meant to represent...

Not entirely true - the Armata’s weight savings don’t come from less armour, they come from having an unmanned turret.

I suspect the ‘lemon twist’ is for more than just flavour. Citric acid would lower the freezing point, if memory serves.

Cant is a word, though. Doesn’t need an apostrophe.

At least a year.

Sexist by modern standards, to be sure, but in fairness he actually allowed for the fact that there could be some ‘intelligent sort’ of women that would be interested and should play. I suspect this was more generous than a lot of his contemporaries who would think the game was simply beyond the grasp and/or

I don’t know, the design decisions in the two most recent movies seem pretty deliberate. With Rogue One, it was set immediately preceding Ep IV. Too much change would have been jarring and difficult to explain. Everything SHOULD look like it did in Ep IV.

FWIW, Google also has survey platform that ties into your Google account, and it’s free without restrictions (so far as I’m aware):

One minor nitpick... there wasn’t, and still isn’t any such thing as the ‘British Royal Army’. Only the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy are allowed to use ‘Royal’. There are ‘Royal’ regiments and other sub-units, but the army does not carry the ‘Royal’ designation. The first national standing army in Britain was raised

The counter argument being that giving in rewards the negative behaviour.

Another surprising thing, to me, anyway, is at how many relatively modern, high-rise buildings get torn down and replaced. Usually you’d see more of the smaller/lower density buildings get replaced first, and the high-rises get extensive renovations to update them, but it looks like a lot of high-rises get replaced

And the mad scientist chef behind it:

Then all that needs to be done is add another bullet point:

While the cost of a modern supercarrier is pretty ridiculous... Still an apples to oranges comparison here. No other country in the world builds supercarriers. This will be the biggest carrier the UK has operated in a long time, and will be on par with the ‘large’ carriers used by France, Russia, China, India etc...

...They really can’t. The T-14 and the rest of the Armata platform isn’t going into full scale production because they can’t afford it (and they’re having trouble paying to work out the bugs).

Just to build on that, most modern MBTs have estimated (there’s rarely any official info released while the tank is still in service, after all) of 1000 to 2000mm RHAe equivalent vs HE across the frontal arc. Which is why most missiles are designed for top attack these days. More difficult to armour effectively
