He's just the guy that owns the company responsible for starting a genocide.

After a former Meta engineer posted that the word “Threads” appears to be censored from Twitter’s Trending topics”

“100 million people signed up for Threads in five days. I’m not sure I can wrap my mind around that fact,” Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri posted on Threads Monday. “It’s insane; I can’t make sense of it.”

Definitely redder. The old suit is basically a dark red.

The Nazis at Fux News and Twitter screech about pretty much anything (remember Fucker’s freakout about “less sexy M&Ms”?). They’ll find some reason to screech about this movie.

The reason is simple: it’s the start of the summer after CoVid has been officially declared over in most of the world, and people don’t want to be on their phone or at a computer.

I think it's a bit early to say whether Threads is a success. Linking it to Instagram basically guaranteed millions of people would sign up immediately, but I'm skeptical it'll have legs. Now that Twitter isn't Bluesky's only competition, I think it's smart of them not to make a mistake in haste by rushing it out.

Something tells me they're more afraid of the backlash since the idea seems to skew heavily toward art imitating life. If people are separated by sexual preference that means there will be LGBTQ characters and that's going to set off the Nazis at Fux News and Twitter.

Fiduciary duty is a creation of Milton Freedman, the reason we live in a corpo dystopia.

Not surprising. Shell is always the most expensive gas station for no apparent reason. There could be a BP and Exxon on the same corner and they still have the balls to charge 30 cents more per gallon with no discernable differentiating factor.

I prefer Mastodon. A non-profit running social discourse platform seems the least likely way to get vaccine conspiracies and insurrections.

Nobody gives a fuck about privacy. That's how they succeed.

ACAB no matter the country.

The name is so uninspired that it fits perfectly with everything else Facebook has done in the last 10 years. Connecting it to Instagram instead of Facebook was smart since Facebook's user base is a purple circle with Fox News viewers.

Right? Since when is it normal to cover trendy topics?

Decentralized platforms have been in vogue for a few years. Mastodon has been around since 2016 and is the social media I’d want everyone to be using because it’s nonprofit. Unfortunately, as another commenter said, the onboarding is too difficult for the average person, and the UX could use some work.

It’s more Titanic than a crash into a brick wall. We’re at the equivalent of already hitting the iceberg and the captain learning the ship will inevitably sink.

Android users can just use NewPipe (until YouTube follows the trend of cutting off APIs to third-party apps).

He definitely embodied how boring the character is.

Not really unbelievable when the last guy was a fat, racist orange with tiny hands and a 39 IQ.
