Not only do they not teach this, but they have explicitly defended their right to bar entrance to the police force people who have the mental/emotional capability to avoid escalating these situations and calmly go about their job. They actively SELECT for these traits.

As far as I can tell they also teach them that any interaction could instantly escalate into a deadly gun battle, so if you want to ever see your wife and kids again you have to get the jump on the bad guys (everyone who’s not a cop) and go in screaming and shooting from the start.

IT COULD BE BUNNIES.

Only by people who don't understand that he's trying to keep the party left. You know Clinton is actively courting republican donors and that her top pick for vp at the moment is Tim kaine, who is pro life.

Yay ageism!

I like Bernie.... but man, I just wish he would stop.

I think it ecapsulates everything thats wrong with Brazil.

At least Russia doesn’t have to worry about it...*snicker

That picture just encapsulates everything that is wrong with these Olympics. The whole thing is a nightmare, and I feel really bad for the athletes who have dedicated their lives to getting there.

To be fair, the jaguar was threatening to go public with evidence of corruption involving more than half of Brazil's cabinet ministers.

That’s pretty much a metaphor for these Olympics, isn’t it?

Was at Facebook last weekend for their Farmer’s Market & Car Show (friend invited me to bring my car for the show). It was interesting talking with him and a few other FB employees about their new building. It’s all “open office” and no one wants to get moved their because they’re tired of the “open office” layout.
