I like the slick lines of these big Frigates but the bigger the better for me when it comes to ships of that era. Some were so ornate.
After standing guard on Boston Harbor for nearly twenty years, the centuries old USS Constitution, the U.S. Navy’s…

Okay, I read most of it. I was on a Trident sub years ago and I can tell you this guy is mostly full of shit.
650M (more than 2,ooo’) would be equally unbelievable for any non-bathysphere submersible.
Oh they aren’t trying to incarcerate/kill him, they only care about his safety and are worried he might have been kidnapped or something!
Military and governments lie to us and keep secrets? They try to incarcerate or kill those that leak the lies? Shocking <sarcasm>
Or insulation wearing down. God knows I’ve lost too much sleep to ground alarms.
It has to be solid all the way through. The thing is that the first 2 impacts resemble what you get from plasma arc cutters... which is close to what is happening anyways.
Lack of response time also helps. Many rounds can be detected by radar. The Israelis use this in their Iron Dome system to get civilians to shelter before the rockets land. In fact the reduction in casualties is almost all due to the use of shelters. There is little proof that intercepting the rockets is of any value…

Not true and an over simplification of the goals of the ATF program. Also, if the jet’s maneuverability is all defensive than it needs a missile for that purpose too. Idiotic to have a jet that has the advantage BVR just to have the disadvantage WVR over integration costs.
Also, yes the F-22 has dedicated Sidewinder rails and weapons bays.
Making a point and providing an opinion on a key weapon system is not a rant and without reading every word you might as well have read nothing when it comes to these complex concepts. Some may be asking themselves why the F-22 needs such a capability if it is so good at beyond-visual-range air combat in the first place. The answer is multi-fold.
I was too, but I watch more TV than movies on it after subscribing. House of Cards is excellent, damn near worth the subscription alone.
I’m forever on the fence about Netflix (unimpressed their streaming movies), something like this would easily get me on board.
