Russia isn’t going to pick a military fight it knows it can lose. Comparisons to the US and NATO are moot because that won’t happen. Russia won’t pick that fight, and NATO won’t either.

That’s been said about Russia before.
The Aviationist put up some awesome pictures yesterday of some F-16Is, and the first thing I thought of was Pierre Sprey having a fucking aneurism.
I can't wait for my tax dollars to pay for it!
Also, the Foxbat was never designed as an escort fighter, its combat radius is only 300 km or so, and its ferry range(max fuel no weapons) is only 2,575 km. As a point of reference, the F-15’s combat radius is 1967 km, and its ferry range is 5,550 km, and it was never designed to be an escort fighter. And the F-15 was…
MMMMmmm, yeah... That’s when I imagine the runway being littered with Filet Mignon and creme brulee... Instant meal... MMMMmmmmm....
The best is when you get a lower light shot like this and get a hard rotation, where the burners vector flat against the runway.
Actually, when the F-15 was designed, the military thought the Mig-25 was a dogfighter due to its massive control surfaces. It wasn’t until much later, when the F-15 development was well underway that a pilot defected and the military discovered that it was actually a terrible dogfighter and just needed the giant…
The sooner people realize that Pierre Sprey isn’t to be parroted and quoted as a god the better. He did only what countless other aeronautical engineers did first.
When the F-15 was created, it was created to be a pure air-to-air fighter, with the philosophy of “not a pound for…
That and the weight of a bunch of Abrams tanks would likely rupture underground water pipes.
7:30 to noon? Holy crap are they quick. It takes like three months just to fix a street here.
That might be true.. I dont know, i’d love to see them try it. I know my town would be open to it.
If Americans see more than a few military vehicles at once, they think the Army is invading Texas to declare martial law and make Obama Dictator For Life.
Historically not in most crew positions, but most of our new blast-resistant seats do have belts now. Not that you can get soldiers to use them ...
I’am an 1980s Army tanker. never saw a seat belt, even in the old jeeps, which were real skittish. everything in a tank hurts. that OPFOR BMP was a vismod M-551 Sheridan made to look like a BMP belonging to the inf. batt. 6/31 was our infantry batt. first rate grunts with a lot of history.
That’s part of the reason why occupants *must* wear hard helmets. If you don’t, you’ll split your coconut on the armored plate.
watched an OPFOR BMP pull straight out of a turret down position, pull a 180 and move out smartly, only not to notice that his right track was aimed back into the pos. the driver rolled that M-551 Sheridan onto it’s top, breaking the TCs back and leaking every gallon of diesel into the pit. the only way out was the…
The T-14 has new features that make it a pretty unique tank as well. For the Russians (maybe for others as well), it’s just as big a deal as the F-35 is for us.
