It’s good they’re advocating responsible play, but also a little silly that the people who designed a mouse trap are telling the mice “just don’t eat the cheese, bro.” That’s the thing you built, my dudes. You deliberately designed a thing to keep people playing for as long as humanly possible.

But try as they might, that’s how all of these looter games go. In D2 you did Baal runs. Anything less was a waste of your time. In D3 you did Greater Rifts. Anything less was waste of your time.

Unless Diablo 4 flattens everything across the board to a set, equal amount of Time Input vs Reward Output then there will

*Currently* there’s no exp boosters besides craftable elixirs (5% for 30 min) but we’ll see what the seasonal battle pass will bring.

Blizzard is like...deathly allergic to players finding any form of efficiency in this game. Find most efficient exp dungeon? Nerfed. Most efficient legendary farm? Blasted. Dungeon with high density? Flattened. Targetted drop efficiency? Deleted from the game. Players moving too fast in D3? Add rooms in the middle of d

Diablo Immortal makes Mobile Gacha piles of cash. It’s first month made half a billion dollars, and it’s predatory microtransactions (not to be confused with Diablo 4's predatory microtransactions of course) continue to make sales figures.

It’s made as much money if not more than what one would call a “normal”

This is the most Cyberpunk thing they could possibly do.

Musk’s speedrun of blowing up Twitter has been impressive to watch, especially when you realize people used to consider this guy some galaxy brain genius, somehow Bro’s just like...*not paying bills* and making billion dollar decisions based off what the last rando he spoke to said.  It's incredible.

Only Up essentially copied the “Getting Over It” thesis of using disposable “trash” to create something new and interrogate said trash’s place in culture....except without any of the commentary that comes along with it. GOIWBF literally narrates it’s thesis to you over the course of the game. It’s script is in open

Yeah they’ve been like the few devs still making old school adventure games and taking interesting steps. I played quite a few of their things.  The Deponia series is fun, State of Mind was interesting, Memorial was fun, etc etc.   A shame they're paying the price for this....

“Violence has devastating consequences, and we have zero tolerance for content that promotes or incites hatred or violent behavior”

100% what would happen to me.

There are times I’ll throw on a podcast and just farm it for hours. Use Elden Beast sword and you can Golden Wave almost the entire hill and then just repeat. I’m going to walk into the DLC as an overpowered god.

God bless that chicken. And the suicidal boulder you can get to right out the gate with a little travel.

If true—which for purposes of conversation let’s say it is—it’s probably Valve wanting to sidestep any possible lawsuits since they would be taking a sizeable cut of profits from work that was not only sold without copyright, but produced by using input that the “Promptgenier” [insert unending laughter] does not

Tucker Carlson wanted to fuck that M&M *so bad* lol

And people called ME crazy because I said (and still say) that the FF7 remake project is an atrocitiy that shouldn’t exist because the wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey shenanigans is some of the dumbest garbage I’ve ever seen, and I just want an ACTUAL remake of the ACTUAL story of 7, not some fanfiction nonsense.

The “They Took Her Vagina Bones” crowd is so weirdly and creepily tuned to even the most slightest disturbance in their Horny Force. A quarter-inch of clevage gets covered or 2 frames of a glimpse of panties vanishes and it becomes their own personal 9/11.

I can’t wait till all programs from Photoshop to Unity and Unreal just straight up steal people’s creations as they’re being made to feed into an LLM.

Or—and hear me out on this—things could be properly scoped and projects managed in a way that if you needed more weeks to polish, they were available.

It’s fascinating to me that this “it’s not a REAL Final Fantasy!” discussion is coming off the recent release of FF7 Remake, and the even more recent trailer for part 2 which has only doubled-down on the action aspects...yet the reception for 7 was largely good (except from the traditionalists like myself who were
