The one thing that stands out as different with Diablo 4 is that in Diablo 3, at the end of the season your special seasonal character got all the experience gained rolled into your “main”. So if you had a paragon 100 character then made a seasonal character up to paragon 100, all that EXP got pooled together and now

Friendly reminder that every “It’s just a tool, bro” defender was, is, and always will be gaslighting you.

They know it’s going to be used to side-step paying artists. As evidenced above, that has always been the goal. They know. They just don’t care.

Long before the demo when they were still doing tours talking about features I remember having my doubts about the Eikon fights they were talking up. These fellas are big and unless the Eikon combat was going to be the same as Clive’s I was worried these huge battles would be more spectacle than not. And with the

It’s going to be super easy to find when it shows up in the “Recommended for you” section of the shop for 30$ per seasonal access.

Blizzard has been weirdly determined to stomping down almost ANY fun the player base comes up with. Efficient farming dungeons, efficient builds. Seriously a good build will be discovered one night, and then by the next will have been hit with a precision guided nerf missile.

It’s like they’re absolutely set on making

So what’s are the bets on which comes first: porn stream, or gambling stream?

I always love it when developers explain the reasons behind decisions because its both very informative, and listening to capital ‘G’ Gamer accusations is exhausting. If you ask Twitter, 30fps is becase devs just need to move the FPS slider on the Engine Screen up to ‘60', and refusing to do so are Devs being LAZY.

FFV was...fine? I suppose since I mostly play games for the story and often feel the gameplay are just...button requirements gating me from more story, V never really gripped me that way it might someone deeply into the combat.

There is a difference between “enough money to keep us running” and “exponentially increasing profits forever to appease shareholders because Line Go Up

Shepard’s bloodied torso in an N7 bikini statue when?

They’re getting upset prematurely. You see the twist in the remake is the FEMC comes back from an alternate timeline as the main cast is fighting with “Destiny Personas” who try to make sure everything remains on the same plotline. It’s brilliant, you see. No one wants to play the same story AGAIN, just go play the

As easy as it might be to just call these guys stupid, it’s important to remember that they aren’t. And I don’t mean that they’re *smart* I mean that they are fully aware of what they’re saying: They know they are openly accusing gay/trans people of being “groomers”, and they don’t care. They know what they’re saying

Same argument could be made over Resident Evil 4 or the series’ other remakes we got. or Dead Space, Demon’s Souls, etc etc. Did we NEED them? Not really. Did they receive almost united critical praise despite barely, if at all altering the original plot?  Sure did.

Big Same. We’re apparently a minority of the “I just wanted FF7 again” camp but dammit what’s wrong with that!? We’re currently *swimming* in remakes from RE4, Dead Space, Metroid Prime, Crisis Core etc etc that all managed to NOT meta/time-twist the story and just be the thing. And everyone loved it.

Ever Crisis

To be fair, it wasn’t like an award show where there’s some kind of collective energy or excitement going on, it was literally just an hour of commercials in front of a studio audience.

New trailer looked exactly like my feelings on the first game: 95% of it is everything I wanted, but the remaining 5% is *so egregiously bad* it ruins the whole thing.

it will take a load off of developers,”

Yes. Typically when one gets laid off, their workload tends to shrink.

Given that they took 3-5 hours of OG Midgar and turned it into 40 hours, there was literally no way they would be able to give that extensive treatment to the rest of the 45+ hour original game. I don’t expect anything resembling a world map and instead predict to see more “zones” you select from a travel list. I’m

Yeah you’re not wrong. OG7's pacing and reveal of the Big Bad is much better than Remake7. I was trying to be charitable to a game that I otherwise feel is...unecessary, especially given that they went off the rails with the plot. But then again I also think square has never once made a well-written plot to an FF

I would recommend people actually play the Remake all the way up to Shinra Tower, and then swap out to OG7 and play from there to the end. I’m personally not a fan of Remake’s story/direction. So much so that even after playing the first one I’ve decided the rest of the project just isn’t for me.
