Very much this. Most licenses require you to release a title within a set timeframe or you lose the license completely. Better to release a half-assed game today and sell 1,000 copies than to lose the license tomorrow and sell 0.

Some studios still respect their customers.
it likely wasn’t their choice. with an IP like this the publisher likely forced release.
I think it’s the same thing with them remaking Silent Hill 2 instead of the first Silent Hill: SH2 and MGS3 are the most “prestigious” games in their respective series and what people talk about the most so for Konami it makes sense to just do them instead of doing the earlier games.
why 3 and not just remake 1? or 2 if you consider that 1 was already remade in twin snakes.
I get it, but I’m disappointed by its necessity. I’m all for having a deep, complex story, but if I need supplemental material in order to understand what’s going on then you’ve failed as a storyteller.
They probably could have aged Moana up to 18/19 and it would have worked. I really hope this wasn’t because of gross “she’s too light-skinned to play the role” nonsense.
on one hand, i understand the whole “recouping lost tax from not fueling up with gas” but on the other hand, penalizing what is probably 5 times regular gas cars would be be contributing in taxes on average is just stupid petty..
I wonder what Texas resident Elon Musk thinks about this? Suppose he’ll Tweet a criticism of Abbott? Think he’ll go against his new Republican buddies?
Honstely? That’s the smartest thing he could’ve done.
When your passion develops into a big company like that and you’re still interested in doing what actually IS your passion, let someone else do the paperwork and administrative tasks.
The rumor I heard is they are going to refurbish it into an interactive “experience” area for guests to enjoy. It will have a couple places to eat, some arcade games and I heard they were gonna adapt part of it into escape room style experiences. Just no more logistic of having to be an actual hotel and staffed 24x7
I was luckily enough to go to this (I wrote the article Germain links to in the first paragraph) and my initial reactions to this news are 1) duh and 2) good LORD they must’ve lost a fortune on this. Galactic Starcruiser was indeed incredibly immersive—cast members everywhere, the entire experience entirely…
Can’t wait to see one of these machines completely covered in condiment splatter and half filled plastic containers.
Table Tennis 2!
Overwatch died for this, rofl. So OW2 is now just a large patch, period. Not a sequel (rofl) and not even an expansion, just a big patch after a VERY long dry spell.
Hawken Reborn
This very site published, and then reposted as an update, an article that was full of tweets of conspiracies about Foxx. The calls are coming from inside the house.
Exactly, this isn’t a Pokemon game where Game Freak knows they can half ass it and still sell millions.
Part of what sticks out for Andor is how much Cassian is just another player in the story that gets put into situations that end up being hugely consequential for the galaxy, but yet he isn’t necessarily the most intriguing character in the series. I saw somewhere a comment that Andor could not only be a reference to…
Uh hey y’all
