Control is probably the strongest example of Ray Tracing since the entire game world is nothing but shiny surfaces for light to reflect off of. Lots of glass, polished floors and walls, lots of steam and smoke.

I had a friend who’s dad worked executive security and they told me a story of how one time the CEO their father was protecting just decided to make a stop to a Jaguar dealership one day and impulse bought one.
Only slightly?
Nintendo is hilariously backwards when it comes to everything but making 1st party games.
I basically expect any sort of open world game, or one that simulates a ton of stuff to be full of bugs.
Yeah I have a reasonably powerful PC and the game still runs like shit.
It’s amazing from an art direction and world scope perspective.
I mean GoW3 looked good at the time, but also has the benefit of being 3rd person game where the camera can be pulled further back so the textures don’t need to look great up close in 1st person.
Even on a relatively high end PC things don’t always run well.
Same I don’t think I’ve seen a single one drop as loot. Sure you see them in a lot of the shops around the city, and the in-game billboards are filled with sexual imagery, but no actual dildos.
I think one of the most underrated features of the Xbox platform is just the fact that MS almost never shuts down game servers for their online titles (OG Xbox excluded), you could technically go back and play launch 360 titles (assuming they were running on non-MS p2p servers like EA games).
It’s a licensing issue, the backward compatibility tech they have can theoretically run any game but that doesn’t give them permission to do so.
I saw a reddit thread on a possible fix for this, but I’m a bit hesitant to try it out. I’m not particularly well verse on how to mess with config files and I’m not sure if I want to just wait it out for a patch or risk it and possibly make my game even more unstable.
30 in some areas, occasionally dropping even lower.
Even the “High” 1440p requirements are inaccurate. I’m running slightly a slightly better CPU & GPU (2070S & Ryzen 3600X) and I still regularly enter sections of the map that tank performance.
They really fucked up by announcing this game so early, hell it was announced 2 years before TW3 even shipped.
I get that the 1.2 billion is likely to acquire all the IP that Codemasters own, but that amount still seems high, especially when it’s nearly half of what MS paid for M0jang, and Minecraft is a way more valuable IP that all of what Codemasters has.
I’d like to humbly add Halo 3's The Covenant into the list.
