This film felt very much like JJ’s version of “How I would have done TLJ” and cramming 2 movies worth of plot into one.

Well strategy games on consoles aren’t really common place to begin with =/

I’ve never had an issue with installed Game Pass games not working. Maybe you just have bad luck?

The one by me is running a “Gamer’s Week” promo where you can rent a game for 4 nights for free. I’d take advantage of it, but my backlog is already too large.

Isn’t Dream already out?

Considering how many games are available via Game Pass it’s not like we’re starved for content.

I enjoy the new Apple inspired look of the iVex.

I completely forgot Steam Machines were even a thing.

I just bought a controller, the backplate and a carrying case, and the shipping cost more than all of that combined.

MGSV is probably the best entry in the series gameplay wise (MGS3 gets knocked down a peg because the control scheme sucks), but structure wise it’s a bunch of filler episodes with occasional cutscenes.

Kojima’s writing only gets a pass because videogames, if he made a film his scripts would be laughed off the stage.

Who the fuck even votes on the nominations for best content creator/streamer/host/whatever?

After applying for the preview program a couple months back, I finally got the email confirming my acceptance into the program. I haven’t had a chance to test it out yet but I was impressed by the wide variety of titles they had available to test.

NGL I mostly forgot this was a feature of current gen consoles because so much of the games I play required an internet connection, so suspending progress wasn’t an option.

I know that Geoff has no actual voting power, but his relationship with Kojima is still problematic since it creates the appearance of conflict of interest.

I believe that voting is done by a group of people from various videogame publications and newsites, and that Geoff has no actual voting power.

It will be interesting to see whether Death Stranding gets a nomination at the VGA’s this year, considering how publicly Geoff Keighly’s friendship/fauning over Kojima has been, as well as having a cameo in the game.

I agree that having the multiplayer updates come to OW1 is an awkward pitch in trying to sell a sequel. But it’s honestly the most player friendly option, rather than trying to split the user base.

ODST wasn’t a full priced release, and at the very least tried something new with it’s approach to an open-ish world in a Halo game.
