Well at the end of the movie he has a conversation with Wonder Woman that they have to find other metahumans to stop an invasion. That's why the last third was in the film where they put aside their differences and fought together against a common enemy.

Yeah, I'm not sure why he's even chiming in. He's not responsible for firing him, right? No one has accused him of anything. So instead this is just a guy telling some other guy he deserved to be fired in open letter format.
