I understand completely. It’s sad that it requires some specific factors to be news worthy. I don’t agree, but I know that’s the prevailing opinion and they aren’t entirely wrong. They can be right but I can still choose to believe that there is worth in standing apart from the crowd. Obviously, that has ramifications

I have been unfortunate enough to have had to go to court in much the same way, against my own government no less. They forced it all the way, when at any point they could have just paid me what they actually owed me and been done with it. 8 months of turning my life upside down, again. Whilst I was trying to get

No one in particular, I was just generally musing about the nature of the beast. I tried not to wax too lyrical or go on at length.

Oh, I’ve been trying for years. And I don’t want to distract from, only support those trying to get Justice for their own suffering now by backing them up with sharing how my own experiences that match their own. To say I know they’re brave and likely telling the truth, because I’ve been there too.

I do have to wonder, how many people will be a little crestfallen that the news stops coming.

Well, for example Poland’s diversity was eradicated from 1/3 ethnic minorities to almost none as a result of WW2. Places occupied by Nazi Germany (and later Stalin Soviet Union) didn’t fare so well in this regard.

I disagree on two fundamental issues: that minorities don’t care about media they are represented in, as well as that females don’t care about how they are perceived in games.

While there were a variety of ethnic backgrounds in these regions at these times, and I agree the game could only be made better by their thoughtful inclusion, it can easily be argued that unless the game is *about* these incredibly marginal populations, their inclusion could come off as half-assed token-ism.

these people already know that it’s gonna be racist, because we said we will not have people of colour in 15th century Bohemia

What a well thought out comment! Thank you!

Gamergate V. Feminism is often operating on a different set of facts. This article smartly articulates a lot of those misconceptions - censorship predominately among them.

My general take-away from this is that hey, if you actually talk to people you can learn something instead of shouting at each-other endlessly and fruitlessly across social media. People may not always agree on things and that’s fine, but Twitter/etc. just turns everything so toxic so quickly. It highlights the

I would hazard its likely impossible to go to any source on this topic that was not biased, in some sense, either way. Its a topic built on emotions and personal opinions/views.

So where should people get their GamerGate news? From pro-GamerGate blogs?

It just goes to show just how bad twitter and hashtag culture is for actual discussions about issues.
