People are so weird about flags. Either they represent something and are sacrosanct, or they are just pictures and they don’t matter. If it’s the former, well, that’s the point when it comes imagery like the Confederate battle flag, the Nazi flag or the Imperial flag. If it’s the latter, why are you in such a lather…

I know everyone keeps bringing up China as the boogeyman here, but Capcom is a Japanese company. The chances of Capcom doing this because of China is...low. 

Having the flag of Fascist Spain is just weird. And why not simply replace the Imperial Japanese flag with the national Japanese flag?

Japan has not done the first of those things, unless moving on means religiously ignoring its past crimes and deflecting or minimizing them when they’re brought up.
