I agree fully with this, and there’s certainly no need to apologize. Talking things out, especially with oneself, is how we refine and deepen our understanding of issues.

It’s pretty appropriate that the comment immediately after yours does that exact thing. 

Look at the response to your post. Immediate excuses about how not only Americans are to blame, preceded by a casual plea to ‘keep it to video games’.

That’s also why saying ‘my game is not political’ is a disingenuous answer. You’re making politicized entertainment. Either embrace the responsibility, or don’t do it. If you insist on doing it, expect people to be disgusted at you. (Notice I said responsibility, not specific stance, or anything of the sort)

You should address that first sentence to the developers of the game. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

Exactly this. It’s probably the climate in which these discussions take place, which is why the conversation even goes to ‘who will police this and how?’, but that’s not even the most relevant conversation.
