Filler cap hanging? I’d put it on. Fuel door ajar? I wouldn’t in case the reason being that the release cable is broken, you just made their life hell.

The only time it is ok to touch a person’s car is to close the fuel door, close the side-view mirror in order to access one’s own car or avoid rubbing against the paint, and to repetitively ding someone when they park excessively close to you vehicle for no apparent reason other than them being tools or lazy parkers.

Typically I fall in the camp of never touch a car/motorcycle ever, for any reason, at all, no exceptions!*

So basically a great actress is pretty crap at spotting con artists and is a bit of an egotist, along with possibly being somewhat out of touch with reality?
