this is exactly what i was thinking. I learned absolutely none of this while i was in school. Its only as an adult, in middle-age have i had the time to start really reading up on our history where ive read how things really were/are in this country.

I went to public school in NC and all of black history was covered in February. Cursory at best, the “education” provided a dry overview of Martin Luther King, Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, “lynching,” Jim Crow laws, Brown vs BOE, Plessy vs Ferguson, and that’s it. Can confirm, no part of this was taught in North Carolina K-12 schools while I was there. There was some information (with poor context) given on Reconstruction, and then they sort of handwaved a couple decades of state history and suddenly it was the 1920s.

I agree with you and I will vote for him, but for Christ’s sake.  This is terrible and if it were Scheer or Bernier who had this come out we’d be LIVID.  I don’t want to vote for the guy, but damn it I don’t have a freaking choice and it makes me really, really angry. 

While Scheer is absolutely the devil, Trudeau needs to do better than this and really own up to his mistakes, especially considering his wokewashing.
