Your probably right that track cars can be “fine tuned” a bit further, but I guarantee they err on the side of going off too often than going off too rarely.

Not saying it couldn’t be fine tuned a little bit, but I think most of you are putting way too much faith in the engineering behind the systems we rely on every

Probably the real problem is no one take responsibility for making the macro level decisions... especially with safety systems, they are not integrated (IE- The air bag system is typically independent of other systems in a car therefore the airbag system has no way to know if its in track mode, or not)

I don’t

I don’t disagree. I just think from a computer programming standpoint, thats pretty much “hitting” the line of when I’d expect a system to operate. Maybe it should be a hair further, but from a design standpoint, its “doing” all the things we’d “look for”.

Evidently I’m the only person who things the car did what it should have.

Full disclosure: I am in the industry and run the teams that develop this kind of tech. I would also agree that is how I’d want it engineered. Moving sideways = loss of control + Impact (pothole) = airbag deployment.

I think its good that it went

haha yeah. I drive a hyundai ;0)

bros don’t drive F150. They drive 250s and 350s...

And we already ice out 150s because they are pansies

What I don’t understand is why Mitsubishi doesn’t do the same thing, and come out with the new 3000GT VR4?

Here it is:

I don’t know how I could justify keeping a car for only 3 years... thing depreciates like 50%!

I get the idea of buying a new car and keep it like 10 years, because you can maintain it in perfect shape....

I traded in my BMW for a Hyundai so now instead of loaners, I just hope I don’t get a stray cat or heroine needles

HOSE... urgh can’t edit.

I was thinking that I might actually buy a BMW and take it to Toyota. I love Bimmers, but BMW Dealers are the worst I’ve ever dealt with by far... I’ve worked with multiple. Super slimy service teams who are amazing at ripping you off.

Somehow they told me my 330i had no coolant in it and said I couldn’t drive it

Fixed it for you:

I had 220k miles on my Formula and never replaced the steering rack..

Oh yeah, and I raced it!

I don’t doubt you, I just guess I dodged that bullet!

It might also be relative.

I drive Italian exotics. $400 won’t buy me an oil change. I consider that a cheap fix.

You would have sold it for your z06 a long time ago, so I think you are probably doin’ alright... (even though I love those cars... I raced an ‘88 formula and owned an ‘88 GT as my fun car)

My understanding is from the race teams, an 87 is for some reason where its at for performance. odd because 88 was such a good redesign, but I guess there’s something special about the 87 making them a perfect shell.

then its the 3800sc that is the idea engine to swap into it.

No 911??? seriously?

997s are under 35k... 996 turbos are under 35k...

What makes me sad about this is I sold my 30k mile 88 gt for $4,500 and I thought I made a killin’

Elon might be on to something.

You don’t have to replace the brake pads ever, because the entire calipers will seize with the corrosion, so then you just replace your calipers. The brake pads are included!

Please tell me it undocks... please tell me it undocks...
