What me_elt is now is trying to say, but fail, is that you cannot represent pi using a base 10 decimal system... which is true but it doesn't matter because everything is measured at a certain precision, and pi can just be calculated to the required precision for the application.

We aren't talking 400 lbs. We are talking ~600+ lbs. That's just shy of 25% more weight. That's a HUGE difference.
In fairness, I would say the old M5's/M3's looked exactly the same as every other boring german luxury car that every 20-70 year old business man in the country around the globe drove in the past 20-30 years. All the way down to the e30/e28.

The number of ways it could go wrong OMG! Every 2 seconds there is a "WHY ARE YOU STANDING THERE" or "WHY ARE YOU PUTTING YOUR HAND THERE", or you notice something new about the rig and wonder "WHY DID YOU THINK THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA".
