And there are something like 12 different 3000GT models in GT5.

In forza:

Yeah, I'd expect some slowness, but if it's really just in loading that's not too bad. My biggest concern would be interface stuff, but that could just be a case of libraries, which I suppose since android is open source, probably could be copied over.

Yeah, I was in a similar spot. My previous cars clutch had gone out, and it was going to cost more then I wanted to put into it, so I decided to just get a new car and sell it to the mechanic i'd taken it to.

Okay, so it's nothing super fancy... but for a first car that I got for $3000, it was a pretty fantastic wheel!

Not really. It's '05, pearl white, pretty much completely stock except the exhaust.

Pretty sure that's a Lamborghini.

+1

Well, the only case where write once run anywhere seems to have worked alright is java.... in that case it's running using a virtual machine, so there is for sure a drop in performance, but if the JVM has hardware acceleration it's not too bad.

Ahahaha, I love it. Paragraph description of this well intended thought out way to empower people, dispelled instantly in 2 seconds. Amazing

Yeah, it feels anemic under 4 or 4.5k. After that though it's pretty quick. Although yeah, especially with upgraded dampers and some good higher performance summer tires.... it's a fun car.

Seriously. Your grocery bill WILL go up at least 20%. If not double. :(

Yeah, shouldn't count my chickens before they hatch, but still... I'm extremely skeptical of some sort of automatic platform porting tool. It'd be awesome if it worked smoothly, but I just have a feeling apps ported to BB10 won't be the same as on android, or apps written for BB10.

I actually own an RX8, and I love Mazdas. My sister has a protege, which really is slow as hell, but it handles amazingly for what it is. The Mazda 3 is pretty well styled, despite what everyone says about the grinny face!

Yeah, which is why, I'm not going to pass too much judgement on her, being 11. Just that the behavior itself, usually isn't as positive as the story is making it....

Yeah because write once run anywhere has always been a really sturdy model... especially when "write once" is actually "write for specific OS and worry about porting later".

Also 6 doesn't mean 6.5, it varies, but there's estimates/tests from 5.8-6.2.

No, it's about 6 give or take.

I don't think I implied that at all, at least not intentionally. I simply said most people I've known who came out expected fanfare or whatever the negative version of that would be, but for the most part it was exactly like you said, "oh ok".
