huh.... that's crazy! Haven't been in that area a ton, so maybe it's crazy specific regionally.... that and dry ice are pretty common in Orange County.

East Coast, West Coast, Central?

Where in southern California? I live and grew up in Southern California(Orange County to be exact), and I can't remember not seeing ice blocks in the "ice section". As in usually 2-3 freezers in the frozen food section, filled with different types of ice.

Seriously, everyone, next time you go to the grocery store take a peak at the ice section. They usually sell bags of loose ice, and bags of solid blocks. Almost every grocery store I've been to (at least on the west coast) has them.

In addition, it's kind of like when people were comming out in highschool.... everyone expected people to be shocked or suprised or excited.... but usually it was just "ah, okay, thanks for letting me know".
