I've got an RX8, so I get ~200 miles to a tank. I play another game which is: wait until the gas light comes on. Then you keep driving, until it's convenient to fill up. (As in after you've ran all your errands, or after you go to and come home from work). The only problem with this game is, if you win you shift the

If you ever got that GT, I bet that game would start getting very obnoxious, filling up every 100 miles, if you're conservative. (But who is going to be conservative with a GT?!) :)

I was going to say the same thing about the A4/A5 thing, but 5/6 series is a fair point I didn't realize.

I have a friend who has had a Mk4 Golf TDI for years. I think it has something like 140k miles on it now, and they haven't had any issues that I know of. Although I kinda have an issue paying extra for the TDI when the 2.5i is so much cheaper in the states, you won't make your money back for at LEAST 100k miles.

Wow, and I thought I was doing a poor job with a RX8 @ 14.5 mpg average. Oh well, I'm sure it's worth it :D

See my reply to some one who said the same thing. Much rather have some fraying after 2 years than damage to the PC internals. Or actually snapping the plug, which everyone I know who has a PC has had a similar issue at some point.

Much much much better than breaking solder joints inside the laptop which requires it gets opened up and the chip replaced. Oh yeah, also great when the manufacturer doesn't sell/ship out that part so you have to mail it to them and wait at least a week before you get it back.

I didn't look at the price per gallon.... but it cost 64.06. Probably ~13 gallons. So I think it was probably about $4.85. Should last me 180-200 miles.

Yeah the seats fold down in to the floor. I don't know if that kind of set up would fit in the Jetta, but Mercedes sells it as an option on the E-Class wagon in the states! Volvo used to, but I don't think they do currently.

I test drove a GTI at one point, I believe that the Golf TDI has a similar suspension setup, and I thought it was pretty good. I'd prefer a smaller car if I could get away with it, mostly just for parking reasons.

I bought a macbook pro in ~2005. 90% of the deciding factor? Magsafe. I was sick as hell of power adapters breaking, especially when it was ruining solder joints on the board. Best choice I ever made.

I think one case people have a right to (generally) complain is students. I know plenty of people driving early 2000 4 cylinder economy cars, but price increases still directly hit their pocket.

There's nothing like seeing how fast you can take the onramp.... for everyone else, have fun with that in your prius.

As a southern Californian resident who DD's a rotary.... it's a good thing I like ramen.

+1.

keyword being was.

Even better? This in "Sport Turismo" trim :D

+1, also some rear facing flip up 3rd row seats, and this would be the most practical car on the market. Totally my dream when I one day have kids. Until then I've been very strongly considering a Golf TDI.
