We’ll see about that “Last front engine Corvette” thing. The new car might be brilliant, but I don’t see this whole mid engine switch being that easy to accept for their customers. The new layout not only robs the Vette of its hallmark charme and character (pretty plastic brute with a huge engine up front), it will…
Because Yellow is the only correct Corvette color post C4, Blue and Green get honorable mentions.
Gender neutral, nonconventional names are all the rage right now. My vote is for Nova.
Giulia
Tucker
‘Clutch’.
That would be a really cool name.
XR4Ti.
I always thought the monitors had breech-loaders. Well, crap. Okay, fine. How about a tank-like thing with a Gatling gun?
Agreed on all the points about steam as a viable power source: limited range caused by fuel (wood) and steam capacity (spare water). Seeing as how no engine of the time would have the power / traction to push around enough armor to make it withstand a single direct hit from cannon, all you’re doing is creating a big…
Seems like the gargantuan, oversized pickup market is pretty saturated. Maybe make a small pickup with a large bed, smaller cab (don’t need to seat 6 people), very good MPG and affordable.
You didn’t answer his question. The possibility of them hitting you does NOT prevent you from slowing down. Them hitting you is THEM causing their own accident.
To echo comments made already: The wagon fetish isn’t a lie, and the CTS-V is a bad example. Cadillac went after the E-Wagon AMG with that, and if you can afford Mercedes, why would you buy Cadillac?
The problem with the CTS-V is that it missed the target demographic. Who wants a fast wagon? Someone with a family to haul around that still wants some driving excitement. How many people with families to haul around are looking to spend $70k on their next car? Not many. Those that are in the market for a new CTS-V…
I don’t think the wagon fetish is necessarily a lie, as more a fetish held by those without the cash to buy new. I want a wagon, but I want a fast wagon that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
I think the issue is more that the people who want wagons can’t afford something like the CTS-V, and the people who can afford them, want something sportier in appearance.
A low compression Diesel engine and a high compression gasoline engine are fairly close. So, you could run 14:1, give up some of the efficiency Diesel offers to run multiple fuels. This is just a generator, so it runs a single speed. With a single speed operating point, it makes it very easy to adjust timing/air flow…
Except that this is a Wankel, could effect compression be reduced by closing the valves early to prevent excess air from entering the cylinder? Maybe a Wankel would use an external gate in front of the intake port??
Maybe we should have Ben back here more often... what do you guys think about that?
Take another look. Brake lights are on for slightly less than a second. I do see some slowing, but not a lot. Regardless, one must leave enough space to allow for the car in front of you to suddenly brake - check or not - without losing control.
