There’s a lot of “Eternals is bad but I can’t put any blame on Zhao” stuff from critics right now.

I don’t really know how else to explain the broad and persistent demand for expensive trucks and SUVs

Had to look it up and now I envy the english language for having the perfect word for describing Tarantino´s work, that my language (german) hasn´t.

“meretricious”

Baby Driver was a movie that I had high expectations for and wanted to like more than I did...but yeah, a second viewing really showed how it was all pretty much window dressing. The weakest of all Wright films.

I’d challenge anyone to assign Baby a single personality trait besides “cool.” It’s frankly difficult to trust a filmmaker who gets total creative freedom and then goes with such a blank slate of a protagonist.

This is somehow still not helping me understand what people are having difficulty with here.  Are they just driving along the sidewalk and surprised when they hit these not-insignificant poles?

Right? This is Buzz Lightyear, not First Man.

This feels weird.

Who said you have to open a sunroof for it to be useful? My kid has spent hours on road trips telling me what clouds and things look like through the pano roof. He spots planes and tells us if we're catching up to them or not. A very worthwhile feature.

Ditto - I’d rank sunroof above dozens of other features in cars today.  As soon as it’s warm enough out, the sunroof is open.

I’m the guy you aren’t talking about wrt sunroofs. I use mine every sunny day.

Oof. That looks terrible.  What would have been wrong with making a light-hearted space romp?

Honestly though $150 a year with two meals and free parking in addition to theme park admission is a really good deal. Six flags isn’t the best park anymore, but I spend more than $150 on work lunches alone every year

Ugh thank you.

Not only does he not get his Bronco, he pretty much has to apologize and request that people take down the negative reviews that they put up in support of him trying to force the dealer into giving him the Bronco at MSRP. This is all on top of the dealer having one more Bronco in their inventory to be greedy with

All of this is a prime example of both how and why the dealer model needs to die and how Ford screwed up the Bronco’s rollout with its reservation system. Ford should have done a better job of explaining to customers how reservations work.

a manual transmission is only good if the person who is going to drive it knows/wants to properly learn stick. otherwise it’s going to get destroyed far faster than an automatic.

I think they should have just kept the concept and did their own thing. the ideas of the outside world feel very outdated in what a world without men would look like.

It’s hard to tell what things aren’t going to work in adapting from one medium to another. Comics Yorick could be irritating and selfish and make stupid decisions but TV Yorick makes me want to throw something at the screen. Not a knock at the actor, who is playing him perfectly as written. The character is just so
