Tesla has definitely made it blatantly obvious that the NHTSA is really nothing to worry about. They basically get away with whatever they want with no consequence. Imagine if a German car company had committed all the offense Tesla had already committed.

I hate gas-powered maintenance equipment, but this seems like a practical approach. I’m glad it’s not an outright ban, since that would cripple all of the small business landscaping and maintenance companies. It would be economically devastating for the smaller guys, having to replace their entire maintenance fleets

Cannibalistic Gilligan's Island just reads like a Robot Chicken skit.

James Gunn’s edgelord schtick is about to get old.

“Steve has been dealing with long-term medical issues over the last 8 years and during his last performance at the Big Sip stage, he suffered numerous symptoms directly linked with his current medical situation,”

It’s been a while since I tried it but I think at least certain places prioritize drive thru so heavily that it doesn’t help. I went into Starbucks when the drive-thru line was 20 cars deep and I was the 3rd person in line inside. I still waited close to 15 minutes for my drink and watched car after car go by while I

Scott Pilgrim was the first time I thought Edgar Wright might not be great without Simon Pegg as a writing partner. Baby Driver confirmed it.

Yea, no. The XT Deore is mid-grade in Shimano’s MTB lineup. The XTR would be top of the line. And even then, there are other BBs that are even higher quality such as Phil Wood.

Good. I’m glad he keeps switching it up. The last thing I want him to do is make the same thing forever.

I’ve gotten really sick of grief in these new horror movies. Explorations of grief, metaphors for grief. Fuck all of it. How about some paranoia or isolation or body horror? Little puppet monsters?

Flanagan clearly worships the ground Stephen King walks on, and I suppose fumbling the ball right at the end is just one more thing he took from his idol.

Midnight Mass was pretty decent right up until the last episode, where Flanagan laid it on way too thick with a bunch of extremely off-putting overly sentimental bullshit about life and death. The star of the whole show was definitely the priest, thanks to excellent acting from Hamish Linklater (whom I wasn’t

I only saw Skyfall the once in theaters, and it was so pretty, but I hated it so much. It felt so dour, and long, and undeservedly self-serious, not to mention the “Bond’s old and being Bond sucks” thing I keep whining about.

I never understood that decision either, it’s a theme they could have tucked away for 2 films later. Especially considering the same year The Dark Knight Rises unfortunately did the same thing, but at least had an 8-year time jump. Instead Bond gets shot and falls off of a very, very high bridge by Moneypenny.

Skyfall failed miserably for me because it almost immediately ditches the entire mission statement of Casino Royale. It goes from “here’s a new beginning for a new young Bond!” in Casino/Quantum (they’re pretty much one movie since Quantum starts seconds after Casino ends) to “Bond has been doing this too long and is

I never understood the massive praise for Skyfall. It’s not a bad movie but too much of it takes place in London. It feels like we missed a bunch of movies between Quantum and Skyfall.

The only things I remember about Skyfall are the title song and there’s a scene where Bond sets up a bunch of Home Alone-esque traps.

Skyfall has an amazing first act but it shits the bed SO HARD after that. Thankfully there’s always nice Deakins shots to look at.

I like the Maverick, and the review makes it sounds very appealing - very functional, economical, and it looks good too. But please don’t encourage people to buy these over crossovers. Most folks need crossovers. You know how I know? Because most folks buy crossovers. Why do they buy crossovers? Because they too are

1st Gear: I’ll once again express sarcastic shock and dismay that the company owned by a South African man who started his fortune with Apartheid era emerald mine money would have racist practices. Who ever could have predicted this?
