I couldn’t wait and just bought it on Gamepass.

Sable is on my wishlist so thank you for the recommendation, and thanks I guess Sony for letting me play it without having to buy it.

Yeah it used opera in a way that was downright inspiring.  Opera, I don’t normally go for that.

as an aside, I really don’t get this modern “hater” culture that’s grown.

Can only speak for me, but... I enjoyed it. I didn’t “hype” (I’ve grown out of that, I find that I enjoy games a lot more if I’m not expecting The Greatest Game EVAR!”), bought it at launch, and played it for 170 hours. And then I moved on to one of the many other big releases that came out at the same time. (just

Because it’s a single player game and over time people become done with them and move onto other stuff? And it also didn’t review as well as their previous games and less people are into it.

Not everything is a live service, it’s ok to be done with a game.

He didn’t say they were lying about the incident *being* an error. He is asking for more clarification on the *nature* of the error. Probably something like: Was this a new feature being tested that got leaked? How did it come about that timely, live advertisements are tied to in-game button presses? What about

You played it for 45 hours yet never enjoyed yourself? Why play it so long then? In my current playthrough I’ve spent close to three hours on just the opening planet and keep finding new things.

“(People who pretend that brilliant film isn’t achingly difficult to watch aren’t fooling anyone but themselves.)“

The misinterpretation is that it’s a pejorative, instead of simply descriptive. You say yourself, a walking simulator is “not necessarily a bad thing.”

I contemplated grabbing this last week and I’m glad I did, I’m having an absolute blast! It’s a total power fantasy, Robocop is a tank, and that’s awesome! He doesn’t run, or take cover, or even crouch like some loser, he boldly walks into oncoming fire from no less then a dozen baddies at a time, and doles out

You probably are more familiar with DnD mechanics than you think! They’ve been used in video game RPGs for a long time. The first time I actually played DnD, I found it easy to understand thanks to years of being unknowingly exposed to a lot of the mechanics in video games

I give zero shits about D&D tabletop, but it’s not pure D&D. It’s D&D with a goodly splash of Larian homebrew. It’s actually much more transparent to your every person than all the previous D&D games.

I had only a very primitive knowledge about D&D stemming from the Gold Box PC games I played in the 90's and I have never played any of the previous BG games.  But I’ve enjoyed this game immensely.  There’s a learning curve, to be certain.  There are going to be a lot of numbers and weird shit they’ll throw at you

You can totally face-roll it and pick up things along the way. Don’t be afraid, learn to wave away all the details and just shoot goblins with a fireball.

Same, and I’d say, don’t sweat it. While BG3 is definitely heavily invested in Tabletop systems, usually success is more about creative thinking and observation. It tends to have less to do with how well you’ve optimized your sex kitten protag.

You don’t need to know about D&D, it explains what you need to know and failure is part of learning.

The lesson we all need to learn from this and NieR: Automata is that when somebody asks you, “Why is this character design horny?”, it’s perfectly acceptable to answer “Because I like it.”

You certainly managed to draw a lot of conclusions about games that are 100+ hours long without actually playing them, based entirely on very small amounts of information. Clearly, we have found our new authority on the subject.

This is the least Metal Gear trailer for a Metal Gear game I’ve ever seen.
Kojima’s absence is readily apparent and sorely missed
