It sounds like Remedy understands the mistakes they made with the first Alan Wake, but as someone who also hated playing the first AW and never finished it, and loved playing Control (and absolutely loves the world that Remedy has built around these games), I’m very nervous about how fun this new one will be.

hey, you can’t get fired for being anti-genocide when you’re too young to legally have a job!

I’m glad that even bigger developers like Remedy are just throwing their hands in the air and giving up on PC optimization.

Oh everyone getting on a high horse can fuck the fuck off. Have you played the game? Miles couldn’t be more Puerto Rican, they gave him a fantastic suit based on the PR flag.

Another myth busted: The “cancelling” of Hogwarts: Legacy didn’t actually cancel the game...

If anyone hasn’t seen it, I highly recommend Death Becomes Her. Not only is it an absolutely hilarious movie with groundbreaking effects that still mostly hold up well, with Willis killing it in an against-type role, but after his condition was revealed, the movie’s ending now takes on an incredibly moving new meaning

In universe it actually makes sense that phones won’t work intergallactically. Grav jumps enable ships to travel across solar systems, but everything else is still limited to the speed of light. So realistically you can’t talk to someone in real time unless they are on the same planet as you.

Such a non-story. Square Enix just confirmed that a character’s name is pronounced exactly how everyone has been pronouncing it from day 1.

I haven’t started Phantom Liberty yet, I, luckily, started a new V about a month ago, got her to level 13 then dipped so I could save her for 2.0 and I’m very glad I did. Gotta say, 2.0 is pretty sensational, and I’m only on Series X so I don’t even have access to all the graphical bells and whistles they added,

I'm sure the company renowned for planned obsolescence has, this time, made a truly long lasting and superior product. Broken clock ect ect

Dude, a quick Amazon search shows a litany of Thunderbolt 4 cables for about $25.

The sheep is here!

But it is Apple USB-C. An amazing new technological invention.

Anyone who’s tried to get a decades-old game to run on modern hardware has learned the hard way that many of these games were designed with a very specific framerate in mind, and once you crack the cap, the game breaks. When an engine is coded to run in sync to an expected frametime, uncapping the framerate will

Don’t get the issue here. increasing the frame rate to MGS1 would be bad and affect several game play mechanics, and boss fights.

Now them not optimising 2 and 3 for switch is inexcusable given these games are 22 and 19 years old respectively.

Yeah, I’m one of those people who can’t see high-end framerate differences at all, but 30 to 60 is a significant leap.  I compare it to SD/HD/UHD.  The jump from SD to HD was massive.  UHD is better, sure, but HD is fine.  I feel that way about anything over 60 FPS.  I just don’t see an improvement.  Under 60, though,

Imagine being such an idiot that a person would conflate pulling someone over for expired tags with a person stopping in a traffic lane to get out and hit another person’s car, as though those 2 circumstances are at all related.

I like to think this all happened due to me, as I saw the mod in question just after it was uploaded, laughed at the crybaby who made it, and reported it. Within an hour, it was gone.

I really hope Phil Spencer is over at Maryland, putting some his boot up the arse of Bethesda in order to get a new engine.

Lol unpopular opinion time, Hogwarts Legacy. I get why it’s not on the list, this is Kotaku, but I’d put it above at least half that list, Persona and Fire Emblem are meh.
